Guldev Raj's exhibition opens on World Migratory Birds Day

Jammu, May 14: On the eve of World Migratory Birds Day, Guldev Raj's two days long photo exhibition on Gharana wetland" Kan Kan Jano Gharana" commenced today at Kala Kendra to highlight this important place.

Organized by Bharat Pratibha Vikas Mandai in collaboration with Academy of Art, Language and Culture, 150 pictures showing the different angles of Gharana wetland, migratory birds, people problems, departmental activities, tourists visits, weed problem in wetland have been displayed.

All the pictures have been clicked by Guldev Raj, bird lover, in odd circumstances during the last 8- years.

The students of Dati Todi Memorial Convent Hr. Secondary school Ratnal, BR Ambedkar School Rajpura and Bantalab were presented on the inauguration. A little child Rakesh opened this exhibition by cutting the ribbon.

On this occasion principal of Dati Todi Memorial Convent Hr Secondary school Sunita Bangotra, Gyan Chand Dogra chairman, BR Ambedkar Schools and President of Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Samittee Subash Gupta were presented.

Gyan Chand Dogra appreciated the work of Guldcv Raj and appealed to local people of RS Pura to understand the Gharana wetland and come forward to save this important land.

The school children showed keen interest in the pictures and also gained the knowledge regarding the migratory birds.

Dharmarth Trust Sudhar Samitee provided refreshment to the students. Som Nath Preetam Sharma, Karnail Chand Krishan Kapoor, Vijay Kumar, Jagdish Sudan were presented there.

Exhibition will remain open up to May 15.
