HSS criticises frequent controversies over Amarnath yatra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 15: Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) has criticised those elements who try to create a controversy whenever the commencement of Amarnath yatra is nearby. Addressing a joint press conference here toady, the National Working President Vipin Hindu, National President Dimpy Kohli, General Secretary G I Singh along with Sr. Vice President Rakesh Kak alleged that every year the state government as well as some anti-Hindu forces create a controversy related to yatra This year too, the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) has again created a controversy by curtailing the duration of Yatra. The Hindustan Shiv Sean leaders also strongly opposed the exorbitant rates charged by the Helicopter service providers for coming Amarnath Yatra which is going to start next month. They demanded that helicopter services should be taken over by SASB itself, so that the genuine fare is charged from the devotees, who want to perform the yatra using helicopter services. The leaders further demanded that there should be no entry tax, octroi or any other tax for the yatris as well as vehicles carrying coming into the state for yatra. The yatra slip should be treated as genuineness of the devotee/yatris. The vehicles carrying material for langars should have free entry at Lakhanpur. They informed that an agitation will be started soon in this regard as these problems occur every year. A memorandum will be given to the Governor and the Chief Executive Officer, SASB, for tracking down the problems faced by the Yatris coming to perform the yatra, they added. Hindustan Shiv Sena is also going to organize a Langar for the Amarnath Yatris in the base camp at Bhagwati Nagar like previous years.
