Samba Cricket: Dharamveer powers GBSCC to semis | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SAMBA, May 15: After he took two important wickets, Dharamveer Singh contributed valuable 29 runs to help Gen Baj Singh Cricket Club (GBSCC) beat Jakh Cricket Club by four wickets to reach the semifinals of the Samba District Cricket Tournament underway at General Baj Singh Stadium, Barori in Samba, today. Batting first, Jakh Cricket Club bundled-out for 129 runs in 18.2 overs of the 20 overs game with Pinta, Vijay and Munna contributing 23, 18 and 13 runs respectively. From GBSCC, Udheyveer Singh and Dharamvir Singh took two wickets each. Later, GBSCC chased the total in 19.2 overs for the loss of six wickets, thus won the match by four wickets. Jagjit Singh, Dharamveer Singh and Zoravar Singh contributed 30, 29 and 25 runs respectively. From Jakh Club, Munna and shared two wickets each. Dharamveer Singh of GBSCC was declared man of the match for his all-round performance. The match was officiated by Sunny Singh, Viney and Vikram Singh. |
