Firing along the IB worries border residents | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 15: As the summer heat is rising, the Pakistani rangers are becoming active along the International border with India to fulfil their agenda of pushing more trained militants inside the Indian borders. With this the worries of the villagers living close to the border fence has also multiplied as they come directly under the line of fire and have been witnessing sudden activity along the border in the night. On Sunday, a day after a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was killed in an exchange of fire with Pakistani troops, the fresh exchange of fire took place for over 45 minutes in the morning. Official sources said, BSF jawans retaliated with small arms fire in response to the firing from the Pakistani side. The BSF officials have already called it a major ceasefire violation and has requested for a flag meeting. There have already been over nine incidents of firing by Pakistani troops along the line of control. Earlier on May 5, there was a ceasefire violation when Pakistani troops had fired rockets on Indian position and opened indiscriminate firing along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
