| Volunteer Retirement Employees Association criticize SRTC management for duping | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 15: J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association has unanimously and strongly criticized the management of J&K SRTC and Add. Provident Fund Commissioner, Jammu for not implementing the Govt. order NO.237-F of 2010 dated 30.08.2010, though the Office of the Addl. Provide Fund sent letters to the M.D.
It was observed that J&K SRTC vide NO.AddI.PFC/J/5340 dated 18.01.2011 and NO.AddI.PFC/J/5615 dated 01.03.2011 followed by Do-Parti Summon issued vide NO.SpI.Coli/J/71/5684 dated 23.3.2011 for deposit of Rs.23,28,494/- as interest amount in favour of VRS employees/GHS whereas the MD J&K SRTC has not taken care about all these notices from the Addl. PFC and there is clear violation of rules and regulations.
“We understand either these notices have no powers and simply giving the eye wash to the VRS/GHS employees. And we doubt these two high officials are hand in glove with each other and duping the employees. We warn MD J&K SRTC and Addl. Provident Fund Commissioner that if before the 20th May, 2011 our demands are not fulfilled we will sit on dharna in front of Commissioner Provident Fund Srinagar and MD J&K SRTC Office Srinagar,” said Dev Raj Bali, President J&K SRTC Volunteer Retirement Employees Association.
We appeal to all the VRS/GHS to be ready to go to Srinagar to sit on dharma if our demands before May 20 are not acceded by these officials, said the president adding with an appeal to the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to take necessary inquiry into the whole issue as there is clear violation of Govt. orders and the VRS/GHS employees are suffering since long.
In the meeting among others there were Balwinder Singh, D.N.Sharma, B.V.Sharma, Asan Elahi, Surjit Singh, Javed Iqbal, Gulshan Singh, Mohd Sharief and others.
