Renowed poet of the sub-continent Arsh Sehbai presented a short but thought provoking article regarding the book “Zikr-e-Yaar”. He remarked that having gone through the book he had probably to revive his own apprehensions that Urdu language is loosing its sheen. He appreciated the compositions of Amin Sabunia by saying that it is all on account of “aamad” and not “aawurd” and therefore are exactly as per the set norms of Urdu poetry. In another article Rehmat Banihali also threw light on the shariyat of Amin Sabunia. He observed that Amin’s poetry is simple and without any “abhams” and had used words that are in common use. He observed that Amin had penned beautiful “nazams” as well that pertain to various burning issues of the time. Thereafter Amin Sabunia gave a brief resuming about his inclination towards poetry and recited few ghazals and poems. The members of the presidium including the chairman congratulated the author of the book for having brought out such a collection of his verses and poems. In a beauteous and well looking book. Zahur-Ud-Din, however, observed that many a composing errors had made many verses ambiguous. It shows that proof reading had not been upto the mark. The function was conducted and vote of thanks presented by the secretary of the Anjuman.
