| Akhoon for passenger-friendly transport services | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, May 15: Minister for Transport and CA & PD Qamar Ali Akhoon today unveiled a new passenger auto Rickshaw TVS King, launched by Trust Value Service (TVS) Motor Company at an impressive function here.
The product will be initially available for sale from Kashmir Motors in Srinagar and the Company will expand its footprint to other adjoining markets subsequently. TVS King is a futuristic product with a good combination of power, style, comfort and mileage and is designed for today’s cities.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the Kashmir Motors for inducting new means of transport. He expressed hope that the new Auto rickshaw will prove beneficial for the passengers.
The Minister said while the business sector in the present era has grown highly competitive, honesty and public commitment still are guiding principles to expand and flourish such ventures. He appreciated the TVS Motor Company for launching several welfare programmes for the Auto Drivers and their families saying big business groups have the obligation to take care of public in general and their employees in particular.
The function was attended by the representatives of TVS Motor Company, Kashmir Motors, Transport Agencies and prominent citizens including Haji Bashir Ahmad and Haji Abdul Hamid.
Earlier, R. C. Dhobi gave power point presentation, highlighting the main features of auto rickshaw TVS King.
