| Jora takes stock of development works at Pahalgam | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
SRINAGAR, May 15: Minister for Tourism & Culture, Nawang Rigzin Jora today visited Pahalgam and inspected various ongoing development works.
He inspected the construction work of JKTDC Club and Golf Course Pahalgam and took stock of the pace of work. The Minister was informed that the construction work on Golf course is nearing completion and would be completed within a week’s time. He was further informed that the construction work of the club is in full swing.
Interacting with the local people connected with tourism sector, the
Minister said that government is determined to boost the tourism sector in the state so that more employment avenues are generated and prosperity is assured in every nook and corner of the state. He said that the government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah has taken several initiatives to improve the civic amenities to ensure healthy tourist resorts at different significant points of tourist attraction.
Giving the resume of the funds spent on various projects, the Minister expressed hope that judicious utilization of funds released from time-to-time would be assured by the executing agencies so that the quality of work would be maintained at all costs.
