Bhalla launches projects worth Rs. 43 lakh | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 15: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Raman Bhalla while launching projects worth 43 lakhs said government is determined to provide better basic amenities to the people across the State adding several modern line projects have been introduced to meet the basic needs of the people.
He stated this while interacting with the people after launching Rs. 43 lakh developments projects at Sector No. 3 in Trikuta Nagar, Digiana Pulli, Apna Vihar, Sector No. 9 in Nanak Nagar and Qasim Nagar in Narwal Bye Pass, here today.
Bhalla assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs of the people would be fulfilled in a phased manner adding that there is no constraint of funds in providing adequate basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State like drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health, educationbesides better lanes and drains.
To deal with water scarcity in Basant Vihar, Bhawani Vihar and Extn. sector-3 of Trikuta Nagar locality, he said that Government has earmarked Rs. 20 lakh for laying of water supply pipes in these areas and directed the PHE authorities to start the digging works and lay water supply pipes in the uncovered areas so that the inhabitants of the areas do not face any inconvenience due to shortage of water in summer season.
Bhalla informed that Government has submitted a detailed project report of Rs. 300 crore to central Government for construction of Bikram Chowk flyover, tube wells, upgradation of Landoi Choi nallah including culverts across the Gandhi Nagar constituency adding that after getting consent, the projects would be started for the benefit of city of temple population.
Responding to the demand of Digiana Pulli people, he announced Rs. 8 lakh for upgradation of lanes and drains.
