| PAD hold meet, criticize state govt. | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Doda May 16: : Pensioners Association Doda (PAD) held a meeting at Doda under the chairmanship of its president Akhtar Hussain Gattu.
The meeting was attended by a large number of pensioners.
They retreated the state govt. to settle their genuine and long pending demands which includes release of 6th pay commission arrear in one installment, enhancement of medical allowance to the tune of Rs 1000 per month, arrears of the revised pay scale in terms of 6th pay penal recommendations be paid in lumpsum to the pensioners who have superannuated after January 2006, payment of pending revised pension to the pensioners retired after January 2006, the commutation pension be recovered with in 12 years instead of 15 years, enhancement of pension benefit in favour of the pensioners those who have completed the age of 80, 85, 90 and 100 year to the tune of 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% and 100% as per the pattern of Central Govt.
The meeting was also addressed by Shakeel Ahmed Dev, Munshi Ram, Abdul Rehman Gattu, Hem Raj Bhagat, Ghulam Hassan Pampori, Bhater Singh Thakur, Akhter Hussain Nehru, Gian Chand, Amar Nath Thakur, Abdul Rehman Wani, Romal Singh and D.S.Charak.
