| NCC organizes annual training camp | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar May 16: After a gap of six years in Srinagar city, an Annual Training Camp (ATC) was conducted by 1 J&K Bn NCC Srinagar at Haft Chinar, Srinagar under the aegis of NCC Group HQ Srinagar.
The main aim of this camp was to impart collective training to cadets and introduce cadets to a regimented way of life, the work ethos of the services amongst participating NCC cadets and Associate NCC Officer (ANO) who represent Kashmir Valley.
The camp was inaugurated by Col. Pradeep Singh on. All NCC cadets were imparted practical training in physical training, drill, weapon handling including firing and battle craft, leadership and management.
All participating cadets are confident of adapting themselves to any environment.
The cadets also established a motivational stall in Army Mela at Rangreth on May 14, 2011 to inform the Kashmir youth about NCC organization, their activities and advantages of joining NCC.
NCC is grateful to Army authorities at Srinagar for having provided all possible assistance to NCC for conduct of camp to include camping ground and security of cadets. The army also provided transport to ferry cadets from camp site to Army Mela held at JAKLI Regimental Centre Rangreth, Srinagar.
