CF demands separate allocations for all the three regions | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 16: Citizens Forum(CF) has demanded separate allocations in the state budget for Jammu region, Kashmir valley and Ladakh.
A meeting of the Forum held here today under the chairmanship of its president RK Chadda expressed concern over mutual distrust and bickering among the people in three regions, complaining of discrimination in development, spending on social services, tourism promotion and in share in government services.
The solution lies in separate allocation of funds for development projects, social services and tourism promotion for the three regions, the forum has suggested. The central funding to the state should also be equitably distributed among three regions
The forum has further demanded setting up of three separate tourism development boards for the three regions, with separate funds earmarked, so that all the three regions having rich potential of tourism development are benefited.
They also demanded three separate boards for the three regions of the state.
