| Police files charge-sheet against Ahsan Dar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Srinagar, May 16 (KNS): Police on Monday presented a charge sheet before a court against former Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander, Mohammad Ahsan Dar and seven others accused in the murder case of Nazir Ahmed Lone.
According to the charge sheet, the main accused Dar and seven others hatched a conspiracy to murder Lone early this year.
Dar, a resident of Check Seri Pattan, is a former Hizb top commander.
The accused have been arrested and booked under the charges of murder, conspiracy to kill, possession of prohibited arms and ammunition under sections 302, 120-B RPC, 7/25, 7/27 Arms Act.
Lone was a prominent political worker belonging to the People’s Democratic Party.
Lone was murdered in February 28, last year. His murder was followed by strong resentment by the locals.
The other accused include Syed Bashir Bukhari, Hilal Ahmad Palla, Mohammad Ashraf Kumar, Mudasir Nazir Lone, Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Ajaz Ahmad Dar and Abdul Hamid Mir.
