BJP Janipur Mandal protest against rise in petrol prices | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 16: The Janipur Mandal of state BJP today held protest demonstration against the recent steep in petrol prices.
The protest was led by Janipur Mandal president Praduman Singh while Jammu Mahanagar district president Rajesh Gupta was also participated.
The protesters were raising slogans against the central government for its insensitivity and unconcern for the suffering of the common man.
Addressing the protestors, Rajesh Gupta said that policies of Centre has already made the life of the people very miserable due to unprecedented inflation and their corruption and this has been now followed up with this horrendous prices hike in petrol which not only will make transport costlier but would also raise the price of all commodities across the board.
He said that instead of trying to hold down price line, the Government is bent upon pouring petrol on the inflationary fire which has afflicted the price front in India.
He warned that unless rolls back the hike otherwise BJP shall continue to battle for the same.
Parduman Singh in his address to the protesters appealed the public to come on the streets to register their disapproval and protest against the price hike of petrol.
He added that people should cooperate with BJP to address this burning issue and general steep price increase.
He added that BJP is going to continue protest against this move of the UPA government of increasing petrol price till it is not recalled.
Among those who participate in the protest included Kavinder Gupta, Surinder Sharma, Ravinder Gupta, Dinesh Gupta, Sureshta Jamwal, Balwan Singh, Vijay Sharma, Balvir Singh, Sangeeta Gupta, Sunita Gupta, Arun Chhibber, Parshotam Dogra, Shshil Pandey, Ashok Gandhi and Munish Khajuria.
