| Don’t play with sentiments of Dogras: JKNPP | | Dogra certificate issue | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 16: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party held a day long protest dharna in front of Governor House Jammu in support of their demand of issuance of Dogra Certificate to all the people residing in Jammu Province dharna. The protest was led by Balwant Singh Mankotia MLA and State President of party.
Panthers party leaders strongly condemned the state government for cancellation of Dogra certificate order which was issued by Revenue Minister during last Assembly session but unfortunately state and centre government come under the pressure of Hurriyat leaders and revoked the Dogra Certificate order.
Panthers party leaders said that it is not only the question of relaxation in height and chest for recruitment in Army but it is also the question of identity of Dogra’s residing in Jammu Province.
On this occasion, Balwant Singh Mankotia warned the state government not to play with the sentiments of brave and nationalist Dogras who have scarified thousands of life for maintaining the integrity of the country.
He said that anti-Jammu NC has also joined hands with separatists to undermine the identity of Dogras.
Mankotia said that NPP which has been in the forefront to fight evil design of the disintegrating forces will not allow the secessionist forces to succeed.
He further said that panther party will take this agitation to districts, tehsils, block and Panchayat level in the days to come.
