| BCP protests irregular water supply | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 16:
Bhartiya Chaitanya Party (BCP) today held a protest demonstration against Public Health Engineering (PHE) department for irregular water supply and providing contaminated water in various parts of the city.
BCP activists alleged that even though State government is making huge expenditure on the purification and filtration of water and making it fit for drinking, still PHE supplies water which is polluted.
The protesters said it looks that the whole amount of this expenditure goes in the pockets of corrupt officials and officers. The common innocent people are made sufferers by PHE department.
In some areas, the people are without a bucket of water as there is no water in taps for days together.
