Girls continue to shine in University examinations
All first positions captured by females

Jammu, May 16:
On the expected line the Girls once again toppled boys from the merit list of University examinations the result of which were declared today in all the three stream i.e. Science, Art and Commerce girls captured the first position with handsome pass percentage .
Out of total 34 positions in faculties of Science, Arts and Commerce, girls clinched 23 slots. The overall pass percentage stood at 64 percent.
Girls virtually made clean sweep in Science stream by clinching ten out of total eleven positions while in Commerce faculty, girls outdone boys by clinching six out of ten positions. Out of total first ten positions shared by 13 candidates in Arts Stream, girls clinched eight while boys managed to secure only five positions.
Bringing laurels to the institution, Mahima Sharma and Asha Sharma, both from Government Degree College, Kathua clinched first and second positions respectively, in prestigious Science stream by securing 88.18% and 84.78% marks.
The third position in Science stream was clinched by Pryati Sharma of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar Jammu. She secured 83.21% marks.
The girls from Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu clinched all the first three positions in the faculty of commerce. Krishma Arora, Vaneet Kaur and Sunali Bindra from Government College for Women, Parade, Jammu bagged first, second and positions by securing 77.34%, 75.08% and 72.21% marks respectively.
In the faculty of Arts, Rimpy Gupta from Govt. Degree College, Ramban bagged the first position. She secured 76.48% marks.
Sahil Ravgotra from Government MAM College, Jammu and Nasar Anjum from Government Degree College (Boys), Udhampur clinched second and third positions by securing 74.24% and 72.90% marks.
In the faculty of BCA, girls again outdid boys as out of first 10 positions shared by 11 students, they secured 10 positions.
Similarly in the faculty of BBA, girls secured six out of first 10 positions shared by 11 students.
