JCC makes it easy win over Kathua XI | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 17: Jammu Cricket Club (JCC) today registered a big nine-wicket win over Kathua XI to advance into the next round of 2nd Prof Pran Nath Memorial Cricket Tournament underway at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here. Earlier, batting first, after winning the toss, Kahua XI bowled out for 104 runs in 30 overs of the 50 overs game, which, in reply, JCC overhauled in just 15.1 overs for the loss of one wicket. Sekhar was top scorer with 25 runs while Rooney contributed 23 runs. From JCC, Vishavjeet Singh and Rohit Sharma claimed three wickets each while Rahil Singh Sambyal and Deepak Dogra shared two each. Later, chasing an easy target, JCC made the winning run in 15.1 overs with nine wickets in hand. Sidharth Magotra and Paras Sharma remained unbeaten at 41 and 25 runs respectively while Gurdeep Singh added 10-ball 17 runs hitting four boundaries. The only wicket lost by JCC was taken by Sanjeev. Today’s match was officiated by Sadiq Hussain and Sham Singh Langeh as umpires while Ajay Kumar was scorer. NEXT MATCH: Jammu Cricket Club shall take on Modern Cricket Club tomorrow.
