| Glamorous Club in semis of Poonch Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
POONCH, May 17: Glamorous Cricket Club (GCC) made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing District Poonch Cricket Tournament at Government Degree College ground, here.
In the third quarterfinal, played today, GCC trounced Malik Cricket Club (MCC) by four wickets.
Earlier, after winning the toss and decided to bat first, MCC lost all their wickets for 160 runs in 28.2 overs of the 30 overs game. Shabir was top scorer with 34-ball 37 runs, followed by Mohd Salim, who made 33. From GCC, Sahil and Rupinder Singh clinched three wickets each.
Batting second, GCC chased the total making 164 runs in 24.5 overs with Pawan Kumar and Sahil being highest run getters. While Pawan made 29-ball 37, Sahil contributed 34-ball 36 runs to the total. Manzoor and Manzoor Rather shared two wickets each from MCC.
For his all-round performance, Sahil was declared man of the match.
NEXT MATCH: Youth Cricket Club (YCC) shall take on Star Cricket Club Surankot tomorrow.
