| Jakker of Jammu bags Bhamag Kesari title | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 17: Wrestler Jakker of Jammu lifted 13th Annual Bhamag Kesari Dangal title outplaying wrestler, Kamaljot (Billa) of Khanna in Punjab in a neck to neck contest at Sardabbar (Kalsote) in block Panchari of District Udhampur on the concluding day of three-day Shiv Parvati Cave Shirine Mela.
Jakker was awarded a cash prize of Rs 6,000 and traditional Silver Gurj and Patta while a cash prize of Rs 5,000 was given to runner-up, Kamaljote (Billa).
Second main bout was won by Pappu of Khanna defeating Onkar Singh of Border Security Force (BSF) of Kathua. Wrestler Pappu was awarded cash prize of Rs 4,000 while Omkar got Rs 3,000. Third main bout went to Bobri of Jammu, who beat Janta of Attari Border in Punjab.
This dangal was sponsored by J&K Police Department, Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd., district administration Udhampur, Amar Memorial trust Katra and Bhmag Kesari Dangal committee. The Dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association.
Inspector General of Police Jammu zone, Dilbagh Singh was chief guest, who gave away prizes to the wrestlers.
Joint secretary, Wrestling Federation of India, Sohan Singh of Amritsar, SP Benam Tosh, Princiapl Degree College (boys) Udhampur, Dr Nutan Rasotra, chairman Shiv Parvati Shirne Development Board, Swantanter Dev Kotwal and Sunil Badiyal were guests of honour. SDPO Mukesh Kumar and SHO Panchari, SP Modi and Partap Krishan Sharma of Katra were among others present.

Saleem of Dubi Gali bt Bahadur Khan of Jammu; Kuldeep of Jangal Gali bt Rajan of Panjar; Kuldeep of Bamhag bt Kala of Jammu; Naresh of Jammu bt Baba of Attari Border; Satnam of Attari Border bt Murad Ali of Jammu; Pinda of Attari Border bt Ranjeet pf Basnote; Parkash of Kalsote bt Manish of Amritsar; Gori of Amritsar bt Prittam of Reasi; Sahil of Amritsar bt Gurdev of Devi Garh; Rohit of Amritsar bt Shanna of Jammu; Shallu of Amritsar bt Bahadur Khan of Jammu. Bout between Gurdev and Shanna of Jammu ended in a draw.
