| PDP condemns illegal detaining of Youth PDP leader | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu May 17: The youth wing of people’s democratic party held its meeting under the leadership of its state vice president Rajinder Manhas and took a serious note over the alleged harassment of its state secretary Pardeepak Singh Chib (Deepu Chib) by Police.
Speaking in the meeting Manhas alleged that the SHO Gandhi Nagar with some vested interest is harassing in past Deepu Chib, who is an active member of our youth wing. “The allegation made against PDP youth leader in the past and now is baseless and bears no weight, he said.
Taking a serious note over the harassment of Deepu Chib, Manhas said that youth wing has informed to the high command as well as to the concerning quarters of J&K police in this matter. He also added that they have filed a complaint against the
said officer to the state human rights commission & if the same will continue we will leave no option except to go to the court of law.
Commenting upon the police claims that they have recovered a pistol from Mr.Deepu Chib, he said that it needs to be mentioned here that. Chib has got the said pistol against a valid license for his personal security and this can be verified at any level.
He also appealed to the Director General of Police to take strong action under law against those officials who are involved in such anti youth activates.
