PEC launches various schemes for meritorious students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 17: With an intention to promote technical and professional education, Panchkula Engineering College (PEC) launched the schemes for meritorious and poor students. Addressing media persons here today, Chairman of PEC, Sarwan Gupta said that the purpose of the scheme is to search meritorious and talented candidates from this region and to make them technically and professionally sound. This region has a lot of talent to excel, the only thing is to show them right path and provide them quality education. Gupta announced the PEC Scholarship scheme in the course of B. Tech offering courses in BCE, CSE, ME, IT, Civil, & EEE for meritorious students securing 80% and above in the 10+2 examination will be granted 50 percent waiver in the tuition fee. While addressing the media person, the spokesperson Pooja Mittal said, that the main objective is to develop as a centre of excellence of international repute. The college is a nodal agency for R&D in the upcoming technologies. She also informed that the college offers an integrated curriculum that is designed towards delivering quality education in Engineering, Technology and Management. Speaking on the campus placement at PEC, Pooja Mittal said that the motive of PEC is to undertake extensive exercise for placements having MOU with corporate sectors. The placement cell is very keen to get the students placed in MNC's like Infosys, Wipro, HP, Satyam, Persistant L & T Infotech, Dell, Accenture, Tech Mohindra and many more with the average package of 2.50 Lakh to 3.00 Lakh per annum. Panchkula Engineering College was established in 2008 and is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, approved by AICTE & Govt of Haryana.
