| More billionaires in India than China | | |

It is no secret that China's economy is expanding faster than that of India, but the growth in the subcontinent nation has created more billionaires than in the communist country.
According to the lastest Forbes' richest list, India has as many as 36 billionaires, which is more than double the 15 China has.
The collective networth of India's 40 richest persons stands at an astounding 170 billion dollar (Rs 763,000 crore), way ahead of the sum total of their Chinese counterpart -- which is 38 billion dollar, according to Forbes.
The minimum net worth of India's richest is also considerably higher at 790 million dollars, as against 514 million dollars in China.
But to China's credit, that country has outclassed India when it comes to the number of women who find a place in the richie-rich club. There are only two women among India's 40 richest persons, as against six in China.
China's rich and famous class is also a younger lot as compared to India. The average age of China's 40 richest is 46 years, while that of India is 56.
A larger proportion of 14 people are below the age of 40 years in the China list, while just five among India's richest are under 40 years.
