Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 17: Firm in its resolve to start the holy Amarnath yatra from Jesht Purnima falling on June 15, Baba Amarnath Yatri Niyas (BAYN) is busy in finalizing the arrangements for the pilgrims reaching Jammu from June 12 from different parts of the country.
The Niyas has further criticized the role of State Governor N N Vohra who is also ex-officio Chairman of Shri Amarnat Shrine Board (SASB) for raking up controversies on Amarnatn yatra and demanded that he be recalled soon. `` If Governor continues to create a confusion on yatra he should be called back by Centre’’ said Dr Rama Kant Dubey, state president VHP and senior Member of the Niyas.

The Niyas has already send a team to Kashmir Valley to have the at and on spot study of the track from Baltal side and also make arrangements for pilgrims night haltage there. The team which is in Srinagar at present will also visit Baltal and other places. Committed in its resolve to start the yatra from Jesht Purnima the Niyas has made it clear that no power on earth can stop the devotees to perform darshan from Jesht Purnima as per the Hindu tradition.

No power on earth can stop the devotees to perform yatra from June 15 which is an auspicious day as per the Hindu calendar said, Dr Dubey . Turning down the claims that June 15 was not an auspicious date for yatra, he said great religious scholars have confirmed that this was an auspicious date as per Hindu mythology. Instead June 29 is un- auspicious date, he added.
Maintaining that Niyas is committed to start the yatra as per tradition he warned in case Board and Government tries to create hurdles there will be serious repercussions to it all over the country. However he made it clear that Niyas wants that yatra should be conducted smoothly and it will not take any confrontation with the Government.

``We will not be cowed down by the threatening from Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) and Government’’, said Surinder Aggarwal, president of the Niyas. The yatra will take place as per schedule announced by Niyas and it has opened over 25 registration counters all over the state, he added.

So far over 10,000 pilgrims have been registered by the Niyas, he said, adding the registration will continue up to June 15.

The firs batch will leave from Jammu to Baltal on June 14 after performing the bhoomi Poojan at Ranvirshwar temple on June 13, said Dr Dubey. This batch will perform darsan o Jesht purnima falling on June 15, he added.

Dr Dubey also warned the langer Association not to indulge in selection of date and time for yatra and instead be confined to arrangement of langers only. No body except the religious Gurus can decide the duration and time of yatra, he added.

He also made a strong dig at Swami Agnesh who had made some un-tolerable remarks about holy Amarnath yatra and asked him to seek an unconditional apology from Hindu Samaj.
He however expressed apprehensions that Board has no clear intensions and it may delay the clearance of track to sabotage the move of Niyas to styatra on June 15.
