| Director TE flags off youth contingent for skill training | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, MAY 18- Director, Technical Education Mr Sourab Bhagat today flagged off a contingent of 237 candidates under ‘Skill Development Scheme’ for skilled training to various vocational training centres of the country.
The candidates were from Kupwara, Tangdhar, Seer Hamdan, Uri, Tral and Pattan areas of the Valley. They would be trained in repair and overhauling of auto electrical and electronic system, operation of physiotherapy equipment, assistant fire operator, security guard, operation of X-Ray machines and dark room assistance, operation of ECG and ICU equipment , accounting and computer hardware trades in Vocational Training Centres at Hissar, Panchkula, Yammuna Nagar in Haryana..
The Director said all the expenses for undergoing the short term training and boarding and lodging of the candidates would be born by the government. He said arrangements have also made for the placement of these candidates in private sector on successful completion of their training.
