Gani of Punjab wins Roun-Domel dangal | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 18: Wrestler Gani of Maller Kotla in Punjab clinched the 40th Annual Roun Domel Kesari Dangal title outplaying Paula of Himachal Pradesh in a 15-minute long fight that took place at Roun-Domel in district Udhampur. He was awarded cash prize of Rs 15,000 while runners-up, Paula got Rs 11,000. The second main bout went to Sagar of Delhi who defeated Sonu of Himachal to fetch Rs 8,000 cash award. Third main bout went to Pappi of Himachal. Palli defeated Rahul of Delhi. In fourth main bout, Manti of Delhi emerged winner beating Kallu of Jammu Member Legislative Assembly, Krishan Lal Bhagat was chief guest in this dangal while former MLA, Faqir Chand and District Marketing Officer Horticulture Planning and Marketing, Varinder Sharma were guests of honour. Dangal was organized by Thill Roun –Domel Dangal Committee under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. Members and technical officials who helped in smooth conduct of this dangal included Dharam Singh Ranyal, Om Parkash, Verma, Vijay Kumar Sharma, Vikram Singh, Dara Singh, Summer Singh Ranyal, Sham Lal Bargotra, Pankaj Gupta, Yog Raj Katoch, Ashok Kumar Padha, Rajinder Singh Ranyal (Sonu), Krishan Chand Gupta, Jag Dutt Padha, Vijay Singh (Bijju) and Mohd. Fareed. Other Results: Monu of Battal beat Akram of Jammu; Ravinder of Kot Bhalwal beat Babu Deen; Kuldeep Singh beat Billu of Haryana; Ravan of Navashar beat Subash of Chopra Shop; Babbu of Jindrah beat Angrej Singh of Jangal Gali; Hari of Amritsar beat Asif of Jammu; Gopal of Jindrah beat Inder of Amritsar; Mangu of Himachal beat Liqat Ali of Panthal; Billu of Jindrah beat Kewal of Himachal; Dippu of Navashar beat Billa of Jullandher; Pappi of Pathankot beat Swarn of Kot Bhalwal; Asraf of Maller Kotla beat Toni of Himachal; Thirthu of Himachal beat Babbu of Jindrah; Teg Ali of Maller Kotla beat Lucky of Jullandher; Mangu of Himachal beat Gopal of Jindrah.
