Leela Karan, Swami Chaitanya condemn Agnivesh’s remarks | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 18: Reacting sharply over the recent statement of Swami Agnivesh regrading Amarnath Yatra and Shiv lingam, the former Convener of Shri Amaranth Yatra Sangharsh Samiti Leel Karan Sharma today took a strong notee over the issue and demanded registration of criminal case against Agnivesh. Addressing the media persons here today, Leela Karan Sharma alleged that motive behind Agnivesh’s utterances at this juncture is to just appease the separatist forces since his statement proves that he is working as their agent. “Agnivesh’s statement has caused great resentment among Hindus who have faith in Lord Shiva and belief in Amarnath yatra and its religious importance,” Sharma said “I call upon the state government to immediately registered a criminal case against Agnivesh and put him behind bars,” he added Meanwhile, Swami Shri Hari Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has also strongly condemned the statement of Swami Agnivesh. Expressing his grave concern over statement of social activist Swami Agnivesh that pilgrimage to holy cave shrine of Shri Amarnath is an illusion, Swami Shri Hari Chaitanya Mahaprabhu has said that this has hurt the sentiments of millions of people across the country. He said that Agnivesh's words speak of his mental bankruptcy for which he must seek public apology from the people of India. In a statement issued here, he said Swami Agnivesh must concentrate on his social work and dressed in saffron attire he must not try to play with sentiments of people and hurt their religious feeling. He said that millions of people have staunch faith in cave shrine of Shri Amarnath ji for which thousands of people seek pilgrimage annually. Seeing such a faith, Agnivesh should not give vent to his personal feelings in public. Swami Shri Hari Chaitanya Marhaprabhu also condemned the statement of Swami Agnivesh that security forces are primarily responsible for human rights violations in J&K.
