Trikuta College of Education holds Valedictory function

JAMMU, MAY 18: Valedictory function of NSS was celebrated by Trikuta College of Education in its premises here on Wednesday in which position holder students of essay writing competition from different colleges and Dogri department of Jammu University were honored with the objective to promote creative activity and power of thinking among the students.
The chief guest of the event, Prof. Dr. Jasbir Singh, the progrmme Coordinator NSS (J&K) and H.O.D. Economics, University of Jammu, Guest of honor, Ritesh Sharma- Managing Director and Trustee, Suman Sharma, First lady of Shri Sain Charitable Trust, Jammu, Dr.Sunil Mahajan, Principal Jammu Law College were welcomed by Dr.Saifullah, Khan Principal, Trikuta College of Education, at the venue of function.
. Valedictory function of NSS started with the lighting of traditional lamp by the chief guest. A multicultural programme presented by he students of college was the main highlight of the function. First performance of the day was Gharwal group dance presented by Durgesh and party. Their performance earned huge applause by the audience The skilful performances of artists enthralled the audience. The gazal in melodious voice of Ayaz Shah was appreciated hugely by audience. Rajasthani folk dances was also presented on the occasion. A solo song in Bhaderwahi earned accolades as it was performed very artistically. Those who participated in cultural programmed included Ajit, Simiksha, Manu, Simi, Parmoli, Monica and others.
After the cultural activity, chief guest- Dr Sigh, Guest of honour, Suman Sharma and Principal, Dr. Saifullah Khan honored the winning students of state level essay writing competition. First trophy of the competition went in favour of Roshni Mahajan, a student of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research. Second medal was awarded to Bhavna Parashare, a student of MIER college of education.Third reward went in favour of Payal Sangral, a student of Jammu college of physiotherapy. Consolations went in favor of Palvi, Kanchan Rani Rawat, Shilpa and Anil . All prize holder students were honored with shields and certificates.
Ritesh Sharma, Managing Director of the college also appreciated the work carried out by the college.At the end of the event Dr.Khan, Principal of the college presented the formal vote of thanks.
