| IAF commodore briefs Guv | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, May 19: Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Srinagar, Air Commodore Upkarjit Singh, called on Governor N. N. Vohra at Raj Bhavan here today.
During the meeting, various security related issues came under discussion. Governor lauded the crucial role which the Indian Air Force is discharging in J&K. Besides air defence, IAF has been assisting state in tackling problems emerging from emergencies and natural calamities and providing succour to people, especially those living in the far-flung and inaccessible areas, by carrying out rescue, relief and evacuation operations.
