SDM stresses on sustainable development in Sira | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: The relentless streak of surging Dudu Basantgarh as one of the most vibrant and happening Sub Divisions of Jammu & Kashmir was reflected in memorable Public meeting-cum-Durbar organized under administration of sub divisional Magistrate Amit Sharma in Sira. Various government departments headquartered at Chenani including Revenue, Police, Forest, CAPD, Works departments actively participated in this Public durbar in which which was largely attended by the people from all nearby areas such as Latti, Marothi, Bupp, Sarar, Jig, Koi Nallah, Mantalai, Sudh Mahadev, Matloa, Bandole, Dudu, Pachound, Dunna, Kirchi and many other remote belts of the Sub Division participated. This was the first ever public durbar of any senior administrator held at this remote village of Udhampur district in which officers/officials of more than a score of government departments participated. At the outset, SDM Amit Sharma congratulated newly elected Sarpanches in the area and expected them to play proactive role in maintaining the pace of sustainable growth and uniform development in the sub division. Afterwards, all the officers while introducing themselves also provided the details of ongoing developmental works in Sira, Latti and Dudu belts of Dudu Basantgarh Sub Division. Number of issues related to provision of basic infrastructural facilities in the sub division, especially Sira Morh and adjoining villages were raised by representatives of the public to which SDM gave a patient hearing and issued spot directions to all the concerned officers to address the problems in a time bound manner. Even the newly elected sarpanches along with youngsters participated in the meeting. SDM also directed the officers of Sub Division to organize special awareness camps to educate the potential holding youngsters of Sira, Latti, Marothi and adjoining areas within next few days so as to educate youth about various flagship incentive schemes of different departments such as Agriculture, Horticulture, Sericulture, Cooperatives, etc.
