| Stocks of 4 unlicensed medical shops seized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 19:
A team of Drug and Food Control Organization today seized the drug stocks at four un-licensed medical shops in district Kathua.
The shops belonged to Joginder Pal Sharma at village Jalibar, Ajay Kumar at Muthi Jagar, Bishan Dass at Buddhi and Daljeet Singh at Jandore.
The team seized stocks of drugs valuing Rs. 10,000 from these shops and initiated action against them under Drug and Cosmetic Act 1940.
The seizure included 160 ampoules of Oxytocin Injection allegedly administered to milking animals for enhancing the quantity.
Meanwhile, the Licensing Authority, Udhampur cancelled the Licenses of M/s Ram Medical Hall Pancheri for obtaining the license through mis-representation and suppression of material facts.
The public in general is requested to cooperate with the enforcement staff to uphold the sanctity of law.
