| DPS Leh celebrates annual day function | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 19: Delhi Public School Leh celebrated its Annual Function with great pomp and show wherein Tsering Angchok Deputy
Commissioner Leh was the chief guest and Achal Sharma Commandant ITBP, Leh Brig. Sh. R. S. Grewal 153- GH Leh and
Col Sachin Gawli 99 Fd Regt. were the guests of honour.
The Programme was witnessed by the parents of the students of the school, prominent citizens and other VIP's including Raj Kumar Verma and Suminder Singh.
The programme began with Saraswati Vandana which was followed by number of programmes performed by the students of various classes with great enthusiasm.
The performance of the students in most of the programmes was amazing and was appreciated by the gathering. Speaking on the occasion Angchok appreciated the School Management particularly Ajat Shatru Singh, Ritu Singh and S.S. Sodhi for their major contribution in establishment of Delhi Public School Leh for the benefit of the people of far flung, hilly and remote area and the staff for raising the standard of the students not only in academics but also in sports/games and co-curricular activities.
He also congratulated the staff and students for organizing a wonderful programme.
Earlier, Renu Kapur, Principal DPS Leh presented the welcome address and delivered the annual report of the school.
She also highlighted the achievements of the school in academics, co-curricular activities and sports.
Raj Kumar Verma, Principal, DPS, Katra thanked the Deputy
Commissioner Leh, Commandant ITBP, Brigadier, distinguished guests, parents, media, local management and all other connected with the programme.
He also assured the gathering that this school will become among the very good schools of India in the near future.
The Annual function concluded with the presentation of mementoes to the chief guest and guests of honour and enchanting of National Anthem by the gathering.
