9 New PoK guests arrive in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, May 19 : Nine people from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) arrived here today while only four Kashmiris crossed to other side of Line of Control in the Karvan-e-Aman bus, operating between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad.
Official sources said this afternoon that nine guests, including three women, arrived at Kaman post, the last Indian military post, after crossing the Amen Setu bridge on foot in Uri sector.
Four women, who had gone to the PoK returned to their homes after completing their stay across the LoC, the sources said.
Only four resident of the Kashmir valley, including a woman, crossed to other side of the LoC to meet their relatives.
Two residents of PoK also left for their homes, the sources added.
Thousands of families, divided in 1947, were benefited from the service since the first bus was flagged off by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on April 7, 2005.
