KP camp dwellers list appeal to GOI | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 19: The camp dwellers have started a new phase of their life after being shifted to KP Colony Jagti. It is a matter of satisfaction that the process of allotment was transparent baring ignoring some genuine families. We are assured by authorities that every genuine family of campus will be considered. We thank Govt. of India, state Govt. and relief organization in particular for completion of such a huge project. We request the authorities to pace up the work of parks, roads, school buildings and other infrastructure in the colony. We appeal those migrants who have their own accommodation elsewhere not to apply for T.R.Ts which will prove fatal for the deserving and miserable rented migrants who are in bad condition. We also appeal the Delhi and Jammu based self-styled leaders not to publish such statements which have bad implication over the people who are positioned in Jagti colony. These people have full capacity to highlight their vows and get them redressed. We appeal Chief Minister and Revenue Minister of state to take up recruitment of remaining three thousand posts under Prime Minister package soon. Also the state and central Govt. is requested to enhance cash assistance to relief holders at least Rs. 100/- per day per soul as the market prices have touched sky height. Passage of temple bill is one of the confident building measures for community. If Govt. is sincere about the return of community, the passage of bill becomes necessary. We appeal the Govt. to address all the components of Prime Minister’s package. To identify four locations in valley and in order to see the dream of return come true. Govt. of India should evolve a policy to release the amount as package to the migrant families in cash and allot a land to them in these colonies. That will be easier for Govt. as well as migrants to construct their accommodation at an earliest. Other members who participated in press conference include B.L.Raina, O.N. Kaw, K.J. Koul, H.N Bhat, M.K Raina, S.N Bandari, Surinder Jee, Tika Lal, Avtar Krishan, Pyaray Bhan, Predimean Krishan and Dileep Pandita, Rajinder Razdan, Deeraj Bhat.
