EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 19: A patwari and a retired girdawar were today arrested by police at Bari Brahmana for allegedly tampering with the revenue record.
Police sources said patwari Satish Kumar Sharma allegedly operated in connivance with ex-girdawar B L Koul from the latter's residence near Sarore bus stand.
He had shifted revenue record of Birpur halqa, where he was at present posted, to Koul's residence, the sources added.
As complaints piled up against them, the Bari Brahmana police raided Koul's residence and seized the record. Satish and Koul were also arrested.
Sources said the seized record was being scrutinised.
Police had registered a case against them under sections 467, 468, 120-B and 420 of RPC.
