| IRP cop, associate held in JU | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, May 19: An IRP 8th Bn cop and his associate were Wednesday
night picked up by police from Jammu University campus while they
were roaming under suspicious circumstances outside the boys
hostel.
They were identified as cop Om Narain, son of Paras Ram of R S
Pura, and Rajesh Kumar alias Billa of ward No 11, R S Pura.
Police suspected that they had been hired by some students to
intimidate their rivals in the forthcoming JURSA elections. They
were kept in preventive custody, according to police sources.
