5/20/2011 9:08:07 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu May, 20: As solidarity and in support of Yoga Guru Baba Ram Dev's indefinite fast against corruption and drive for unearthing black money in the country and bringing back to the country money deposited in foreign banks by some Indians, Anti Corruption Manch Jammu will hold a token mass fast and Dharna from 9:00a.m. to 12:00 noon on June 4 outside Jammu Press Club, Jammu.
The chairman of the manch S. Baldev Singh Wazir has appealed to the people at large to participate in the token fast and Dharna to highlight their concern over large scale corruption in the administration and public life and convey their solidarity and support to the drive against corruption launched by Baba Ram Dev.
The Manch will mobilize participation of a large number of volunteers in the token fast, by mobilizing in the peripheries of Jammu City and adjoining rural areas.
The Anti Corruption Manch Jammu has flayed the J&K Public Service Commission for indulging in nepotism and favoring the candidates related to its own members and other high ups, ignoring the meritorious candidates in selection for combined services. It has demanded cancellation of the selection list and holding of a high level probe into the bungling by the PSE.
The Manch has also flayed frequent power cuts and non supply of regular water supply in the city, causing hardships to the people in extreme hot season. The manch has attributed this utter failure by the PDD and PHE departments to large scale corruption among the officials.
