Restrictions imposed within 100 meters radius of polling stations | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, MAY 20-District Magistrate (DM), Poonch, Mr Ajeet Kumar Sahu has ordered that no person whomsoever, except authorized persons as per J&K Panchayat Raj Act 1998 and J&K Panchyat Raj Rules 1996 and the voters, shall enter within 100 meters radius of any polling stations on the day of poll. It is further ordered that no voter shall stay within 100 meter radius of polling stations after casting his/her vote and shall immediately leave the polling stations, no person, whosever shall enter within 200 meters radius of any counting centers on the day of counting excepts the authorized persons under the J&K Panchayat Raj Act and rules framed there under, no person whomsoever, shall carry any weapon including licensed weapon on the day of poll except the security personnel deployed on election duty and no person, whomsoever shall use loud speaker or any other voice amplifying device on the day of poll and on the day of counting except by the election officials for management of poll and counting. These restrictions shall come into force in whole CD blocks of the district where poll is going to take place before 24 hours of start of poll in particular block and shall remain in force till completion of counting and departure of polling staff from the CD block concerned. The matter in this order of urgent nature and the circumstances do not allow service of notice to any person or public in general.
