5/20/2011 10:15:42 PM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, May 20: “The decision to curtail period of Shri Amarnath Yatra is a part of psychological warfare launched against nationalistic sections at the behest of separatist forces and the NC-Congress coalition government as well as the Governor have become a party to this conspiracy”, alleged BJP national executive member and state chief spokesperson Jitendra Singh while addressing a meeting of Baba Amarnath Yatra Nyas of Udhampur district alongwith BJP State General Secretary Sat Sharma and Vishwa Hindu Parishad Secretary Surendra Mishra.
Jitendra Singh warned against the possibility of a dangerous confrontation in case the Governor-headed Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) continues to be adamant about the dates of the yatra without taking into confidence the “Baba Amarnath Yatra Nyas”.
There is apprehension that when Amarnath pilgrims from all over the country arrive here for the Yatra on June 15, the situation may take an ugly turn if the state authorities try to stop them from proceeding towards the holy shrine, he added.
VHP Organization Secretary Surendra Mishra announced that thousands of VHP activists from all over the country are expected to reach Jammu from June 14 and no power on earth can stop them from proceeding towards the holy cave on June 15 which happens to be the Jyesth Purnima and thus the most auspicious day for commencement of the Yatra falls on June 15. He also announced that on May 26,a district level Sammelan will be organized at Udhampur followed by a grand Sammelan at Jammu on May 29.
Pawan Gupta, Som Raj Khajuria, Dina Nath Bhagat, Pawan Khajuria, Rakesh Ji, Dharam Veer, Uttam Singh, Vinod, Ramesh, Subash and Chandersheikhar were among the prominent Udhampur leaders who attended the meeting.
