KAS aspirants demand removal of JKPSC members | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May 20: Appreciating the decision of video recording of candidates in Public Service Commission Interviews, KAS Aspirants Forum has demanded probe in the allegations of favoritism in KAS 2009 list besides demanding replacement of all PSC members with people of honest background. In a press statement issued here, KAS Aspirants Forum General Secretary MA Khurwani said that PSC Chairman has taken a good decision of video recording of Interviews in the PSC final personality tests so that it can be cross checked in case of any allegation in future but he said that the mistakes done in past also must be probed. “Future planning is good but what PSC has planned to do with the KAS 2009 list in which influential and blue eyed candidates have been given an edge”, he said adding that KAS Aspirants Forum is watching the government action and if government will not constitute a Commission to probe the allegations, they will took to streets and hold demonstration. Launching an attack on the PSC members, KAS Aspirants Forum has said that question has already been raised on most of the members of PSC for their favoritism and these tainted members will affect the overall functioning of the organization in future. “Let these members be shown the door at the earliest so that meritorious candidates feel comfortable in future”, Khurwani said. Meanwhile spokesman of the organization, Vikrant Singh suggested that retired judge of High court should be appointed as PSC members. He said that the track record of most of the members of PSC at present is not good and how candidate can expect from these members who are favoring their own candidates and rejecting meritorious ones. The Forum has also appealed Governor and Chief Minister to take the issue seriously and order probe in the allegations of favoritism in 2009 KAS list. “It create doubt that why Chief Minister is not ordering a probe in the list even though much has been published regarding the same in the state and national newspapers”, Vikrant said adding that “If Chief Minister is clean, he must order probe and kick out tainted members from PSC.
