5/22/2011 12:10:13 AM
EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu , May 21
The people of Jammu braved heat and held a protest Dharna in front of
the Raj Bhawan to register their emphatic protest against the decision
of the NC-Congress coalition government in the state to withdraw the
March 25th order that had entitled the Dogras of Jammu to obtain
certificates and avail of certain relaxations in terms of height and
chest expansion. ET spoke to some people on this is issue.

Sudhir Thapa, Businessman, Jammu:-
Well in my view, the relaxation given to the youth of Jammu region
should continue and if it is being esxpanded to other regions, no one
should oppose it. As long as it will not take away the share of
Dogras, it is welcome. Every region should be treated as equals and
this is one state comprising of three regions Jammu, Kashmir and
Ladakh.

Rishi Gupta, sales executive, Jammu:-
It is obvious that the person of Jammu has realized that it is the
times to get unite on this issue. Those who wishes to retrieve the
lost ground it has no other option but to identify itself completely
with the humiliated Dogras. The Dogras of Jammu never for give those
who reportedly accepted bribe and brought bad name to Dogras. The
Dogras will fought back to get Dogras certificate order.

Amit Singh, Dogras Deptt, JU:-
The Dogras are known for its bravery and were given relaxation in
recruitment for central paramilitary forces through Dogras
certificate. Now when this order is revoked by the state govt, it has
brought anger and distress among the Dogras. The Jammu people question
the state govt, why always the brave and nationalist Dogras suffer and
get humiliated.
