Anti-terrorism oath on ex-PM’s death anniversary | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 21: Principal, staff and students of Sprawling Buds School, Chinore in Bantalab, took anti –terrorism oath on death anniversary of former Prime Minister of the country, Rajiv Gandhi here today. To remember the great leader, a special assembly was held wherein students and teachers took the pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence as also to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings. They resolved to fight the forces of disruption threatening the human lives and values. Pledge was also taken to preserve communal harmony and oppose secessionist and fissiparous tendencies. It was on this day in 1991 that former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi was assassinated by terrorists. The day was observed in the school to generate awareness among the students about the dangers of terrorism, violence and its effect on the people, the society and the country as a whole. “It is the duty of every citizen of the country to fight anti-national activities, violence and terrorism so as to maintain the unity and integrity of the Nation,” said Principal of the School, Puja Sharma. ------ Caption: Students of Sprawling Buds School take oath to fight anti-national activities in a special assembly on Saturday.
