Gujjars seek timely release of funds

JAMMU, May 21: A delegation of Jammu and Kashmir Gujjars United Front led (JKGUF) by Shah Mohammed Chowdhary today met Union of Ministry of State for tribal affairs and submitted detailed memorandum containing demands of members of Gujjar and Bakerwal community.
In a press statement issued by the front today, Chowdhary said that the front delegation brought into the notice of Union Minister delay in releasing Funds by the central government for various schemes to the State and further diversion as well as misappropriation of funds by the various departments of the state government.
Front leaders also brought into notice of concerned Minister Non-submission of projects and proposals by the state government to the planning commission. Minster assured the delegation of early action in the matter. Other members of the delegation were Showkat Javed, Showkat Parvez, Abid Hussain, Allaudin, Maqsood Ahmed and Abdullah.
