EARLY TIMES REPORT
Kishtwar, May 22: Things are turning bad for the MLA Inderwal Ghulam Mohd Saroori as people have out rightly rejected most of the candidates backed by the MLA in recent Panchayat elections.
If sources are to be believed the MLA after his dismissal from cabinet is loosing popularity among masses.
During his tenure as R&B ministry works worth crores were given illegally to his blue eyed persons on his patronage and R&B divisions of the district at present bear liabilities worth crores.
Allotment of works on approvals that too for unplanned works has not only made the department to suffer but has also hampered the development process. The revengeful attitude of the sacked minister has added fuel to fire and people have started showing their resentments.
In recent panchayat polls despite his hard efforts, MLA could manage only a few seats whereas in most of panchayats falling in his constituency his rivals were declared elected. His close associate Ghulam Qadir Tapal who also appointed as tehsil president by Saroori faced defeat in the hands of a local Gujjar boy.

In panchayat halqa Drubeel on the behest of MLA counting was made three times and by 11 PM the result was not being declared as his strong opponent and a local leader Puran Chand was leading.

MLA forced local administration to reverse the situation but at late night after the protest of people the result was announced and Puran Chand was declared successful and he defeated his rival a close associate of Saroori namely Piyare Lal by 4 votes.

Iimmediately after the announcement of result the celebration started in entire Drubeel area and people danced on drum beats and raised slogans against Saroori.

Earlier also the MLA faced people wrath in Bonjwah and Kuntwara areas and he had to run from the villages when people protested and asked him to leave the villages.

25th May will be the most crucial day for the local MLA as it’s the day of election in Bonjwah area where number of his candidates including few relatives is in the contest.
