Inderjeet guides NCC to 124 runs win in Pran Malhotra Cricket | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, May 22: National Cricket Club (NCC) today registered a big 124 runs win over International Cricket Club (ICC) to enter next round of the ongoing 2nd Prof Pran Malhotra Memorial Cricket Tournament at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here. Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, NCC set a challenging total of 310 runs for the loss of five wickets in allotted 50 overs, which, in reply, ICC could not chase and the whole side bowled out for 186 runs in 40.4 overs. Inderjeet Singh was top scorer with 89-ball 98 runs studded with 15 hits to the fence. Rohit Bhat and Manish Dogra also played well contributing 72 and 29 runs respectively. From ICC, Rakesh Sambyal claimed three wickets while Surinder took two. Later, chasing the target, ICC bowled out for just 186 runs in 40.4 overs thereby lost the match by 186 runs. Sourab played magnificent innings of 90 runs but of no avail as no other batsman could extent him the needed support. Manzoor added 34 runs with the help of three fours and two sixes. Deepak Manhas was most successful bowler from NCC, who claimed three wickets. Inderjeet and Nitin Mehra shared two wickets each. NEXT MATCH: GGM Science College shall take on Yough Cricket Club Bhaderah on May 24.
