Panchayat elections a revolutionary step: Mir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT SRINAGAR, MAY 22 Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the State Government is committed to provide basic amenities to the common people besides solving their problems on priority basis.
He asked the people particularly the youths to cooperate with state Government for completing the large number of under construction projects for speedy development of the State.
The Minister was addressing newly elected Panches and Sarpanches today at Hurdu Bani Kanzer, Tangmarg
Mir stressed for harnessing the power and capabilities of youth in a proper and systematic manner for taking the State towards everlasting Era and Peace and prosperity. He further maintained that peaceful environment is imperative for the sustained and overall development of the State.
Referring to the problems of the general people, the Minister said that the Government is taking every possible step for the adequate supply of electricity to the consumers of the State. He said during the last year Rs. 1 crore has been spent on installation of the new electric transformers and lines in Tangmarg area. He also announced
Rs 1 cr would be allotted for the development of the power sector of this area from his constituency development funds during the current financial year.
Congratulating the newly elected Sarpanches and Panches, the Minister said that the 100% participation of the people in the recently held Panchayati election is a welcome step as it has demonstrated the will of people for working for peace, prosperity and sustained development
