ABVP criticises curtailment of Amarnath yatra | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATHUA, May 22: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) unit Kathua has criticized the state and union government for curtailing the Amarnath Yatra period.
Addressing a press conference here today, the district convener of ABVP Rahul Dev Sharma said the reduction of time period for Amarnath Yatra from 60 days to 45 days is the part of conspiracy framed by the state and union government to appease the particular community and to hurt the religious sentiments of crores of Hindus of the state and country
He said that in the early 90s, the state and union government had adopted the same anti-Hindu strategy and framed nefarious design to put ban on the Yatra for two years but at that time various social organizations of the state played a tremendous role to restart the Yatra.
This time again the government’s sole motive is to hurt the sentiments of Hindus which would never be tolerated at any cost.
He said that the ABVP has also opened a Yatra registration office at Pathania Market Kathua for the people who are willing to go to Yatra on June 14.
