HC directs secretary to produce records | JKCA’s self-ceques | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, May-23 (JNF):- Justice JP Singh of Jammu & Kashmir High Court in a petition filed Kashmir Cricket Club has directed the General Secretary of J&K Cricket Association to produce records pertaining to the issuance of self-cheques from April 15, 2009 onwards. The court after hearing the parties observed that consideration of the case could not be concluded for non- availability of the counsel for the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association and order that list for continuation in week following the next. In the petition it has been submitted that the petitioner No 1 is representing Kashmir Cricket Club, Petitioner No 2 is the President Kashmir Cricket Club, Petitioner NO 3 is the member working committee (representing WCC) Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association, Petitioner NO 4 is a member JKCA General Council, petitioner NO 5 is representing KCC and member General Council seeking direction to BCCI not to make further financial grants/ release of funds for any purpose in favour of JKCA till duly audited accounts of association and further restraining the respondents 3, 4 and 5 from acting and conducting themselves or taking any decisions in their capacity as office bearers on J&K Cricket Association. The petition further prayed for prohibiting them from dealing and handling the affairs, activities, funds, assets, and bank accounts of the association and further prohibiting them from undertaking and conducting any exercise with respect to the constitution of the General council and working committee of the J&K Cricket Association and to set election process into effect for the election of office bearers of the working committee of the Association.
