Eight point programmee should be implemented immediately: Tarigami | | | Early Times Report KULGAM, May 23: While demanding early implementation of the recommendations made by the interlocutors appointed by the Central Government to address the issues concerning the people of the state, CPIM State Secretary and MLA Kulgam Mohd Yousf Tarigami, said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir are the most genuine stakeholders in the peace process deserve to be apprised of the recommendations made and measures if any initiated for implementation of these. Addressing a largely attended public rally at Mirhama Kulgam today, Tarigami said that a serious and time bound approach needs to be adopted for giving the practical shape to the eight point programme suggested by the interlocutors to address the grievances of the people and make headway to settle the issues pending. He said that any laxity in implementing the eight point programme and other recommendations could rejuvenate the unrest and political uncertainty in the state and disgust the youth, who see their future bleak and unidirectional. “People’s aspirations and concerns are prime to anything and political considerations should not come in the way to restrict these at any cost”, Tarigami maintained . The State secretary CPI (M) said that interlocutors having the mandate of the Central Government to make recommendations have done a fair job to the maximum level and implementation was the prerogative of the State Government. He lauded the announcement offer of employment package under technical courses for the youth of the state and urged to its implementation in a quick timeframe, adding that need was to make mass recruitments of the educated youth of the state in the Central government departments. Addressing the rally General Secretary Kisan Tehreek G.N.Malik and veteran Kisan leader Ghulam Rasool highlighted the problems faced by the farmers and growers. They demanded implementation of Crop Insurance Scheme in the State and relief to the hailstorm affected farmers.
