| CU controversy continues | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT

The Central University in Jammu is in a deeper mess. Already the establishment of the Central University has been delayed and the futile controversy which is adding fuel to this issue is, who would head the University. Jammu central University is a non-starter and still it will take some time before all the issues would be settled, but no one is bothered about the effect of this delay on the youngsters, for whom it could have been the most genuine endowment.

The central university should be established in Jammu at the earliest. There is no need of creating undue controversies over this issue. It is the right of the students in Jammu, so there should be no further delay. If the University is working in Srinagar, then why it has not been established in Jammu till now.

This issue is being politicized unnecessary. This is a good initiative, so the issue should be settled at the earliest. Already the establishment of the Central University has been delayed and it is a big loss for the students. Undue hype is being created over this issue. Where all other sanctioned universities are working, why the government has adopted such a callous approach for the establishment of University in Jammu region.

The Central University issue should be solved at the earliest. Where in Kashmir it is the second session of the Central University is going, the University in Jammu still is on paper only. Government should take some initiative to solve this issue at the earliest so that the students could be benefitted. It is a big development for the region, so people from all walks of life should come in front and join hands to get this issue solved at the earliest.

It is genuine issue and even then the concerned authorities and government has adopted callous approach in solving this issue. Every now and then Jammu region has faced discrimination, but how long this discrimination could be faced. Where the students in Kashmir, are already getting benefitted by central university, the Central university issue in Jammu is just getting perplexed by undue controversies. There is no need of any such politics over this issue, it is a developmental step, so all issues related to it should be solved at the earliest.
